#TheRunningVicar |
Morley Everest |
Raised: £20,284 |
In April 2024, or Vicar, Phil, took on a mountain of a challenge.
He’s ran from "Base Camp" at the Parish Hall to the bottom of Churwell Hill and back a whopping 102 times over four days. That’s the equivalent height of Mount Everest!
What started as a solo challenge quickly became a community event with support crew, runners, horn beepers and high fivers all contributing to the effort. The BBC even came along to join in the fun, filming a piece for Look North. The whole event finished with a big Community Fun Day, which was a fitting celebration.
Thank you to everyone who contributed. The event raised just over £20,000!
